About Kids Playce Learning Center & Daycare in Atascocita, TX
We are a curriculum-based daycare in Atascocita, TX. We care for children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join further schooling and education.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on learning, love, and care. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and spaces in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
Who We Are
In 1999, Kids Playce was founded by Lori Aungst, a former elementary school teacher and mother of three, who lives here in the Atascocita community. Lori’s vision of quality childcare and a loving environment for children is the foundation of Kids Playce principles, forming characteristics that set Kids Playce apart from any other daycare or child learning center in the Kingwood – Atascocita area.

Lambs - Infants
(6 weeks to 7 months)
Kids Playce's Lambs classroom provides a loving, personalized care environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 7 months). With certified teachers trained in CPR, first aid, and shaken baby syndrome, they maintain a low 4:1 teacher-to-infant ratio. The program includes the HighReach Curriculum, baby essentials like wipes and food, and 24/7 surveillance for safety. On-site director supervision ensures a clean, safe space for babies to grow with stimulating toys, soothing activities, and plenty of bonding moments.
Piggies - Infants
(7 to 13 months)
The Piggies classroom at Kids Playce is designed for infants aged 7 to 13 months. It offers personalized care with a 4:1 teacher-to-infant ratio, CPR- and first-aid-certified teachers, and the HighReach Curriculum. Essential items like baby food and wipes are provided. Safety is prioritized through door surveillance and on-site director supervision. The nursery is clean and sanitized, offering a loving environment where babies can thrive.
Caterpillars - Toddlers
(13 to 18 months)
The Caterpillars classroom at Kids Playce offers a nurturing environment for toddlers aged 13-18 months. With a 5:1 teacher-to-child ratio, TSR-certified teachers, and the HighReach Curriculum, the program includes meals, music, physical education, and Spanish lessons. Safety is a priority, with CPR and first-aid certified staff, on-site director supervision, and 24/7 surveillance. The classroom focuses on social and life skills development through organized schedules and personalized care.
Ladybugs - Toddlers
(18 to 24 months)
The Ladybugs classroom at Kids Playce offers care for toddlers aged 18 to 24 months, with a 9:1 teacher-to-child ratio. TSR-certified teachers focus on character development through organized activities, teaching manners and life skills. The program includes the HighReach Curriculum, meals, music, physical education, and Spanish. Bumblebees - Toddlers
(2 to 2 ½ years)
The Bumblebees classroom at Kids Playce is for toddlers aged 2 to 2.5 years, with an 11:1 teacher-to-child ratio. Certified teachers provide CPR, first aid, and a structured HighReach Curriculum. Butterflies - Toddlers
(2 ½ to 3 years)

Lions - Preschool
(3 to 4 years)

Tigers - Preschool
(4 to 5 years)
The Tigers classroom at Kids Playce provides Pre-K education for children aged 4 to 5. With an 18:1 teacher-to-child ratio, the program includes TSR-certified teachers, meals, music, physical education, and Spanish lessons. The focus is on character development and preparing kids for kindergarten through organized schedules and interactive learning. Safety is ensured with CPR- and first-aid-certified staff, door surveillance, and on-site director supervision.
Juniors - Kindergarten
(First Grade)
The Juniors classroom at Kids Playce offers before and after school care for elementary children. Services include breakfast, bus transportation, and care until 6:30 PM. The program provides healthy snacks, homework assistance, and access to various facilities, including an indoor gym and theater. With a 22:1 teacher-to-child ratio, CPR- and first-aid-certified teachers oversee activities using the HighReach Curriculum in a clean and safe environment.
Seniors - Second Grade to Fifth Grade
The Seniors classroom at Kids Playce offers before and after school care for children in grades 2 to 5. Services include breakfast, bus transportation, and care until 6:30 PM. The program features healthy snacks, homework assistance, and access to facilities like an indoor gym and theater. With a 26:1 teacher-to-child ratio, CPR- and first-aid-certified teachers ensure a safe and engaging environment.
Transportation
Children who attend the elementary schools listed are provided with breakfast, bus service to school, pick-up at time of school dismissal and child care up to 6:30pm at our convenient Atascocita location!
Our Elementary School children receive quality attention, healthy snacks, homework time and a chance to unwind in our state-of-the-art facility, which features an indoor gym, theater room, library, gaming systems, age-specific playgrounds, and a variety of fun games!
